 DLL & VBX Files

All Windows based applications use .dll and .vbx files to properly run the software. Sometimes a computer may have software installed on it that will have set up these files. When you installed TruckWin, the installation program looked for these files and only overwrote them if they were older versions. If the installation found a newer version of one of the .dll or .vbx files it left that version remain. Under some circumstances the new versions of these files will work, other times they do not. Depending on what you have loaded on your computer you may need to modify these files.

 
When modifying .dll or .vbx files you must reboot in MS-DOS mode. When Windows is running these files are in use and can not be overwritten. Below are the .dll and .vbx files that we have confirmed work with TruckWin. If you download these files, download them with the extension .old instead of .dll or .vbx. After downloading the files you need, reboot in MS-DOS mode and copy the current .dll and .vbx files on your computer to a file with the extension .new. After complete this step copy the .old file you downloaded to c:\windows\system using the extensions .dll or .vbx respectively.

Please note that changing your .dll and .vbx files may change the way other software operates. CMS is not responsible for problems that may result from replacement of these files.
